It is a regulatory requirement that all carriers notify their small group employers and their enrolled employees of changes we’ve made to our 2017 small group plans 90 days prior to the renewal date of the employer’s health plan. To comply with these requirements, we have sent January letters to our mutual clients and their employees informing them that there will be benefit changes when plans renew in 2017. We will continue to send these letters throughout the year 90 days in advance of employer groups’ renewals.
The letters contain required information that has been reviewed and approved by the OIC. You will find template copies of the 90-day employer letters — one for renewing plans and one for discontinued plans, along with the template of the 90-day employee letter.
The following plans are being discontinued as groups renew in 2017.
- Connect Bronze HSA
- Core Bronze HSA-16
- Silver HSA-EC
All other plans are considered renewing plans and will receive the corresponding renewal letter.
