Spring is in full bloom and the change of seasons ushered in another change, too. I’m honored to now be serving as your Kaiser Permanente Washington Producer Relations business partner, and thrilled to lead our dedicated team that will help you better serve your clients.

Communication is key

Kaiser Permanente has much to offer. And because there’s much to learn and know, we want to help you understand the unique value we bring to the market and to your clients. We also want to hear from you because you’re in the best position to know what our clients – both current and prospective – want and expect from their health plan. Here’s what you can expect in the coming months:

  1. Informative emails
If you haven’t already, you’ll start seeing more regular communication from us. These emails will include information about Kaiser Permanente’s unique value that’s fast and easy to digest, and also serve up important stories from our news blog.
  2. Producer survey
This summer, we’ll also be sending out a survey to understand how we’re doing in the following areas: service, value, administration, communication, providing tools and resources, and providing access to care and services for our members. If you get an invitation to participate, please take the time to respond. We’d appreciate your valuable input.
  3. Fall producer workshops
Since it’s business as usual in 2017, you’ll be happy to know we’ll be holding our Fall Producer Workshops. They’ll cover our Small Group, Individual & Family, and Medicare Advantage products available for 2018, and give you an opportunity to get answers to your questions. The workshops will take place in late September in the usual places: Bellingham, Bellevue, Everett, Richland, Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Walla Walla, and Yakima. Keep an eye out for an invitation and registration information, which you’ll receive this summer.

A fruitful partnership

You’ve heard it before but you haven’t heard it from me, so it’s worth restating: There are no major changes for 2017. That’s true for our plan and network offerings, but also true for things like our commission schedule and the way we do business with you.

Kaiser Permanente may be new to the region, but many of you have had relationships with many of us for a long time. I want you to know that these connections are as important to us as ever. With your help, we intend to grow, and we want to help you grow too.

I look forward to hearing from you via our survey and seeing you at our workshops in the fall. Thank you for all you do!
